Story of the Door

In this chapter the "Story of the Door" there were many intresting and fascinationg moments in the book that help the book stay in place. But one stands out the most to me in my opinion. It was when Mr. Enfield tells the story about the door to Mr. Uttterson. This story was telling about the door both Mr Utterson and Mr Enfield had walked upon during there walk. At three o' clock in the morning Mr. Enfield had saw a boy and a girl both in different parts of the sidewalk but they meet up at the corner. The boy was walking very calmly like a normal human. The girl unfortunatly was running as hard as she could run, it was like she had to go somewhere very important and fast. But doesnt it make you wonder what is a little girl doing at three o' clock in the morning where it is pitch black. Well the boy and the girl end up hitting each other very hard at the corner of the sidewalk. But the boy tramples the little girl so calmly that there is nothing that happened at the moment. As said in the book Mr. Enfield says about the boy he says "it was like some damned Juggernaut". After all that the girl had to go to the doctor an the father of the girl needed to get money about a hundred pounds for the injuries that had happened. He opens the door to the house and just takes a hundred pound in cheque out of know where. When they went to the bank to exchange the cheque the signiture was like a forgery. It makes you think what is going on and why did he forge that signiture to get that money. In my opinion this moment in the book was the starting of the conflict of the whole book, this is a memorable moment that i have to say.

This moment i have said that was in the story makes me think about many negative things. In my head i have questions that are just going crazy in my mind there just waiting to be answered. One of the question that i have is why would someone be so careless. Like you trampled such a little girl and you just walk away and not even care about it. It makes you think that there is something wrong with that person. Another question that i have to bring up again is why is a little on the sidewalk at three o'clock in the morning when it is really dark. A question that made me curious the most was when the girl got trampled why didnt the parents take direst action to help her, very oddd that a parent does this to their own child. They settled it with money and they never metioned the inciddent again in the future.

A theme that is implied in my opinion is that something cannot be done with just money, it has to be done with feeling and caring. in the article i am about introduce supports my opinion on what is the theme that is being implied. The informational article that Ms. Fleming provided us i would say in my opinion, that can relate to the moment i have said. th article would be "Good and Evil". Well to make it simple if someone dies that is really close to you no one would seem to care even a little. In reality poeple that dont even have a relation to the person that died would have still cared. In the story Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde murder is acceptable in that story if someone gets murder no one takes action. Us in the real world we would react as quick as a frog snatching a fly with his tongue. The books society is very different then ours its actually the exact opposite. This artcle Good and Evil plays a great role of connecting to my moment i have chosen in the book Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
